Art of Coffee, Cocoa Beach

Art of Coffee, Cocoa Beach

I met up with some friends at the Art of Coffee on Saturday for some knitting and a little coffee.  We are trying to get a weekend knitting group started in Cocoa Beach now that All Strung Out has closed.  The Art of Coffee has the best chai tea in Cocoa Beach, and I’m hoping that this knitting group catches on.  If you’re in Cocoa Beach around noon on a Saturday, stop by for some great coffee and a little knitting.

It doesn’t look like much, but the red yarn on the table is in the becoming stage.  It is on its way to becoming a hat for my daughter.  Her ears were cold at marching band practice earlier this week, and she wants a bright red hat to keep her ears warm.  The yarn is our worsted weight yarn dyed in a cherry red color that she mixed up.  The pattern is The Classic World War II Watchcap by Helen Waittes, who knit about 2 inches before she left the hat for my wife to finish.

Just found your website and blog! I love the beach too and think it’s a great idea to get together and knit at the coffee shop. Saturdays around 12? I’ll stop by tomorrow and see if anyone comes. Happy Knitting, Pam
